Sometimes SPAM is Entertaining
Subject: payment request from “Wendy’s/Arby’s Group”
I just love spam (I am being sardonic here). I got this one a few minutes ago and laughed out loud. Apparently I am expected to open the zip attachment that came in the email.
“We recorded a payment request from “Wendy’s/Arby’s Group” to enable the charge of $972.98 on your account.
The payment is pending for the moment.
If you made this transaction or if you just authorize this payment, please ignore or remove this email message. The transaction will be shown on your monthly statement as “Wendy’s/Arby’s Group”.
If you didn’t make this payment and would like to decline it, please download and install the transaction inspector module (attached to this letter).”
And apparently spam emails promoting anything and everything to do with “carbon footprints” is the new Viagra. They seem to be multiplying in my junk folder. I have to wonder if the close proximity to those sexual enhancement emails has anything to do with the apparent reproduction capabilities of the other junk emails. Hmmm…. I will have to think about this.
